Venduta per 75.400 dollari la copertina di "Meet the Beatles"

A copy of the "Meet the Beatles!" album, signed by all four Beatles at the time of their American debut on the "Ed Sullivan Show," sold for $75,400 last weekend in Knoxville. Case Antiques Inc. Auctions & Appraisals, an auction company with a gallery in Knoxville and an office in Nashville, gaveled the album as part of its fall auction in Knoxville. La copia autografata di "Meet the Beatles" autografata da tutti e quattro i Fab Four è stata venduta lo scorso fine settimana a Knoxville per 75.400 dollari. L'acquirente, che ha partecipato all'asta telefonicamente da New York, vuole rimanere anonimo.
La copertina dell'album, piuttosto ingiallita, ma pur sempre una rarità, reca la scritta "To Doc Gordon, Thanks for the jabs from George Harrison" seguita dagli autografi di tutti e quattro i Beatles.
